LAUNCH DATE: APRIL 2, 2025 - LAUNCH TIME: 1:15am PT / 4:15am ET

This week we’re talking about the state of Nevada possibly sticking with Standard Time year round; most fake AI-generated movie trailers won’t be earning ad revenue on YouTube; Norwegian Cruise Line pulls a horrible itinerary switcharoo on the inaugural sailing of their new Aqua ship; Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC are switching to an AI generated ordering system at their drive-thrus across the U.S.; Kristin and Scott’s hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia will be featured heavily in Ken Burns’ new Revolutionary War documentary next Fall; the final “Downton Abbey” movie finally has a premiere date; we now know that Katy Perry, Gayle King, and an all-female crew will blast into space on April 14; an off-duty Southwest Airlines flight attendant could be in serious hot water over her carry-on bags; a United Airlines pilot forgot his passport, diverting a China-bound flight; big changes are coming to the Mega Millions lottery, meaning BIGGER jackpots and better odds; Kermit the Frog announced as the University of Maryland’s commencement speaker; “The Empire Strips Back” parody show is touring the U.S.; Lady Gaga announces a summer arena tour to support her new album; Trump International hotel is sued for killing a woman with its revolving front door (allegedly); we are totally digging Seth Rogan’s “The Studio” series on AppleTV+; Duke University is all up in arms about a t-shirt on HBO’s “The White Lotus;” the Trump administration will crack down on ticket scalpers (with Kid Rock’s help); 20,000+ people want Nashville’s airport to be renamed for country singer Dolly Parton; the “Coyote vs. Acme” movie WILL be distributed after all; people are freaking out about the May 7 Real ID deadline; and, much more pop culture silliness for April 2, 2025. It’s a hoot and a half, y’all.

Scott Wallis and Kristin Talastas have been best friends since way back in 1987, when they first met in Williamsburg, Virginia. They’ve been inseparable ever since—through high school, college, and all of life’s twists and turns.
Scott lived in and around Washington, D.C. for 24 years—including working in advance at the White House (albeit not for the current administration) and planning high-level events for one of the richest men on the planet (no, that that one). He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2018, where he lives with his husband Dale and their two rescue dogs. Once upon a time, Scott created an organic baby clothes brand, owned and operated an award-winning men's clothing store, published nine novels, and has been podcasting before podcasting was cool (and oversaturated). He loves to travel (especially to Palm Springs & Key West), collect pop art, lose more than he wins at the slots, and binge watch TV shows he's seen a dozen times.
Kristin has made Northern Virginia home since college, where she lives just outside Washington, DC, with her husband, Rob, and their young son. By day, she runs her own HR consulting firm, helping companies build great workplaces—but let’s be honest, her true passion is finding any excuse to be in her kitchen. She loves cooking (and eating!), tracking down the best food finds at Costco, and running around trying to keep up with her 7 year old. When she’s not cooking up something delicious, you’ll find her cheering on the Washington Commanders, exploring local wineries, or soaking up the sun in the Outer Banks. She’s always up for a good meal, a great conversation, and, of course, a hilarious trip down memory lane with Scott.
Dude decided to retire himself from the show to pursue other projects. (Uh huh. So he says. We'll see.)
Dale Blades & Scott Wallis first met in 2009 and forged a fast friendship based on their mutual love of all-things audio. The former terrestrial radio hosts started podcasting before podcasting was even cool, experimenting with a few short-lived shows before the SWISH EDITION was created in October 2010. The guys moved from Washington, D.C. to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2017, but soon discovered that Nevada is where they feel most at home. There, they established roots—and their signature 'secret underground studio'—in the outskirts of Sin City, and they couldn't be happier being a quick drive away from the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Dale & Scott are still serial entrepreneurs, degenerate passionate gamblers, and avid travelers (they are super fans of Palm Springs, Key West, and sea cruises).
If you want to go back and listen to old-school-Dale episodes, work backwards starting with Episode 451.
PS: Dale says he will pop back into on the show every now and again...when he feels like it.
